MS Living – January issue: Irresistible cupcake recipes

Sweet Indulgences.  This is how the January 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine starts off their cupcake section.   Yum!  Here's a rundown of what cupcakes, combinations and inspiration are included:

  • Ginger and Molasses (with whipped cream)
  • Pistachio (with raspberries)
  • Brown-Sugar Pound Cake (with brown-butter glaze)
  • Peanut Butter (with peanut butter frosting and jelly!)
  • Chocolate Chip (with chocolate chip frosting)
  • Banana (with caramel buttercream)
  • Chocolate Faux Bois (on one-bowl chocolate cake)
  • Piped Shells and Pearls (on yellow butter cake)
  • Edible Flowers (strewn on pound cake topped with basic buttercream!)
  • Pool of Apricot Jam (on mini cheesecake)
  • Chocolate-Mint Leaves (on chocolate-mint cake)
  • Candied Citrus (on orange-vanilla bean cake
  • Coconut (with seven-minute frosting and coconut flakes)
  • Brownie Hearts (on chocolate brownies with basic buttercream)
  • Boston Cream Pie (with vanilla cream and chocolate-ganache glaze)
