I love cookies. They are the perfect cross between candy and cake.
Back in January the blog Cream Puffs in Venice featured a cookie inspired by Carole Walter’s Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. I already owned two of Carole’s books (Great Cakes and Great Coffee Cakes, Sticky Buns, Muffins & More) both excellent books and then reading the blog entry from Cream Puffs in Venice it was decidely so to invest in her cookie book. So, I added Carole Walter’s Great Cookies: Secrets to Sensational Sweets cookbook my collection. I’ve made a recipe from it already and it was the best cookie I’ve made in a long time! I look forward to trying more recipes from it. I’ll blog about it once I take pics of the cookies.
Did you know that Martha Stewart has a “Cookie of the Day” that you can subscribe to? Martha has a Martha Stewart’s Cookies book. Has excellent ratings on Amazon.com. Maybe one day I’ll give it a try too. But in the meantime, I’ll give her Cookie of the Day a try.
