At Last, Bouchon’s for Macarons!

Macarons from Bouchon Bakery

On our last day in Las Vegas I finally arrived to an open Bouchon Bakery at the Venetian Hotel & Casino.   I ordered one of each flavor (mocha, vanilla, lemon and strawberry).  They were much larger than I had anticipated.  The outside of the macaron was absolutely perfect…crispy, delicate and eggshell fragileness, but tenderly chewy when bitten.

I found a table in a nearby food court and began snapping photos of these bakery delicacies before experiencing my first taste.   My plan was to wait for hubby to return, but when photographing I cracked the vanilla macaron.  It was so fragile!    Hmm.   Guess I should taste it before hubby returns since it's broken!

My favorite flavor combination was the lemon.  The macaron shell paired with the filling was a good contrast and less potently sweet like the others cookies were.

Was it worth the wait?  You betcha!  ;)
